Special Announcement:
The very first award of Poet Laureate for Lincolnshire has been announced today and it is a member of Pimento Poets.
Ms April Wrighter was adjudged the winner and will be presented with her scroll of honour and the £5000 prize at a ceremony in the Castle at midday.
On hearing the news, April thanked her mother for all the support she had given her through the difficult days of learning to spell, her husband for just 'being there' when she needed financial support and fellow members of Pimento Poets for lending her some poems.
Please join April and her mother and her husband at the Wig and Mitre tonight for a good old fashioned poetry reading. That should be fun!
